RIBCRAFT RIBs Provide Rescue Relief in China

Marblehead, MA, June 6, 2008 – RIBCRAFT proudly announces that a fleet of RIBCRAFT RIBs played a critical role in the China earthquake rescue efforts.

The 15’7” RIBCRAFT 4.8s, equipped specifically for such responses, carried the first rescuers to the epicenter of the quake. The RIBCRAFTs provided the only means of access for the first responders as all roads leading to the area had been destroyed or blocked. Hailed as unsung heroes, the RIBCRAFT RIBs provided continuous access to the devastated region.

The RIBs were originally ordered and distributed to Fire Departments in the Chengdu Region by Ancom Systems, an international supplier of rescue equipment for first responders, in 2007.
