Speed tubes make the difference delivering the AF’s signature performance characteristics. In addition to providing the needed lift for the boat to plane at low speeds with full loads, the speed tubes provide stability through tight turns. When the boat goes into a sharp turn at speed, the flow or water travels under the exterior membrane of the speed tube and flows directly into the interior of the second tube trapping the flow of water which thereby anchors the boat into the water to prevent slipping and reducing the likelihood of capsizing.
