Free Gas From RIBCRAFT

Marblehead, MA, May 14, 2008 – RIBCRAFT, one of the world’s largest rigid inflatable boat (RIB) manufacturers, announced a unique solution to rising fuel costs - free gas for the season.

“Consumers have been shaken by the spike in fuel prices. There’s been a lot of talk about boaters staying ashore this coming season because of sky rocketing fuel prices” said Brian Gray, President of RIBCRAFT. “We don’t think gas prices should keep people away from doing what they love to do or have to do. There are already states and municipalities planning to cut back on-water patrols due to fuel prices; we see that as a recipe for disaster and want to do our part to insure cut backs don't happen”. Gray continues, “RIBCRAFT is proud to be the first boat manufacturer to offer customers, both professional and recreational, relief from rising fuel prices”.

The RIB industry, unlike solid sided manufacturers, is seeing unprecedented growth in sales this year. Higher fuel prices are actually helping recreational RIB sales as these boats are lighter then traditional solid sided boats and therefore can use smaller engines to achieve the same performance of a heavier solid sided boat. A RIB's lighter weight also helps conserve fuel on land as they don't require an big tow vehicle – in most cases they can be towed by a smaller, more fuel efficient car. The fuel savings are in addition to all the other benefits of owning a RIB, sea keeping performance, safety, and weight carrying ability.

Customers who order any new RIBCRAFT rigid inflatable boat (RIB) 19' and greater between May 15th and June 30th will receive free gas for the year. Under this program, RIBCRAFT will provide customers with a gas card at the time of delivery that can be used to fuel their RIB.

To be eligible for the Free Gas Promotion, customers must order a 19' RIB or greater between now and the end of June. This offer is available to both recreational and professional customers. A $1,000 gas card will be provided with the boat at time of delivery.

RIBCRAFT Receives NMMA Certification

Marblehead, MA September 5, 2007 - RIBCRAFT announced that it has received National Marine Manufactures Association (NMMA) Certification for its professional grade line of recreational boats.

While all boats in the United States must meet applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations, boats built by manufacturers participating in the NMMA Certified program must also meet the more comprehensive standards set by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC). Furthermore, to become NMMA Certified, a boat must pass rigorous third-party inspection to ensure they meet and adhere to all applicable standards, as well as maintain an ongoing, formal Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program.

"As a commercial boat builder specializing in building professional grade RIBs for first responders, military users, and yacht clubs, earning NMMA Certification for our recreational model line demonstrates our commitment to building safe quality boats to our recreational customers and the greater boating community", says Matthew Velluto, RIBCRAFT's Director of Marketing.

The NMMA Certification program covers more than 30 categories of standards, which vary by boat type and size and may include: fuel systems; ventilation; passenger and weight capacity; horsepower capacity; flotation; electrical systems; navigation lights; warning label placement and guidelines; and steering systems.

RIBCRAFT Provides Boat Operator Training To New Customers

Marblehead, MA April 1, 2007 – RIBCRAFT, a leading builder of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for first responders, military agencies, and yacht clubs, today announced that it will provide complimentary small boat operator training to professional customers who order a RIBCRAFT rescue RIB during the month of April.

Rescue boat operations in rough seas, strong winds, and along rocky shorelines are a challenge even to experienced and well trained crews, but when the urgency of a response combines with the skill needed to maneuver a vessel alongside people in the water, recreational boating experience is often insufficient to safely operate a rescue craft.

“The safety of our customers is of paramount importance to all of us at RIBCRAFT”, said Matthew Velluto, RIBCRAFT’s Director of Marketing. “We recognize that many first responders, though experienced safety professionals, have little to no boat handling experience. It is essential and only natural to provide our new customers with means to necessary training to operate their new rescue RIB so that in an emergency, the rescuers don’t have to be the rescued.”

RIBCRAFT has partnered with professional instructors to provide proper training to first responders, yacht clubs, and federal agencies who order a RIBCRAFT in April. Training will be tailored to the organization’s application, but will focus on basic boat handling and operation. For more information on this program, please contact RIBCRAFT at 866.RIBS.USA.
RIBCRAFT encourages all their customers, regardless of how they use their RIB, to enroll in a safe boating or RIB operators training course.

RIBCRAFT Donates Defibrillators in Honor of American Heart Month

Marblehead, MA February 1, 2007 – RIBCRAFT, a leader in the design and construction of rigid inflatable boats (RIB) for first responders, military agencies, and yacht clubs, today announced that in honor of American Heart Month, it is donating a defibrillator to any professional customer ordering a RIBCRAFT® rescue RIB in the month of February.

Each year, roughly 250,000 people die from sudden cardiac arrest. Defibrillation is the only known therapy to treat an individual in cardiac arrest. Delivering an electrical shock to the heart can restore the heart's normal rhythm; however, it must be done within minutes of the arrest. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, a victim's chance of survival decreases by seven to 10 percent. After as few as 10 minutes, very few resuscitation attempts are successful.

“We recognize the importance defibrillators play in saving lives. Unfortunately, budget cuts have forced too many agencies and departments to go without enough of these life saving devices” said Brian Gray, President of RIBCRAFT. “As a leading manufacturer of rescue boats for first responders, we want to assist our customers by offering the tools they need to help them with their jobs and ultimately save lives.”

During American Heart Month, RIBCRAFT is planning on giving away dozens of the life saving devices to first responders, yacht clubs, federal agencies, and tow operators who order a RIBCRAFT in February. For more information on this program, please contact RIBCRAFT at 866.RIBS.USA.
