RIBCRAFT to Supply Boats to the 2010 ISAF Women’s Match Racing Worlds

March 23, 2010, Marblehead, MA - RIBCRAFT, the leading builder of professional grade rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for sailing programs and yacht clubs, announced today an agreement with the New York Yacht Club (NYYC) to supply RIBs and sponsor the 2010 ISAF Women’s Match Racing World Championship to be held this September.

RIBCRAFT will supply a fleet of RIBCRAFT® 5.85’s for the Match Racing World Championships to serve as umpire and support boats for the event. RIBCRAFT was a leading sponsor of the ISAF Team Racing Worlds in 2005 under a similar agreement.

“We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to support the Women’s Match Racing World Championship,” said Brian Gray, president of RIBCRAFT.

The 19’ RIBCRAFT 5.85s ordered for the event feature blue tubes, center console with front bench seat, leaning post, windshield, lifting points, and a 90HP Honda engine. These features, combined with the large open deck, make the 5.85 not only an ideal umpire and safety boat but an extremely versatile boat as well.

The NYYC will host the 2010 International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Women’s Match Racing World Championship at Harbour Court, its Newport, Rhode Island clubhouse on September 20-25. Twenty top women’s teams of four sailors each from around the world are invited to participate. They include the defending champion, Nicky Souter from Australia, as well as top sailors from the ISAF Women’s Match Racing rankings and the ISAF World Cup, and two wild-card entries.
