RIBCRAFT Named Official RIB of the 2006 Sailing and Cruising World Boat the Year Contest

Marblehead, MA October 10, 2005 – RIBCRAFT today announced that it has been named the official RIB of the 2006 Sailing World and Cruising World Boat the Year Contests for a third year.

RIBCRAFT will provide RIBs to the Boat of the Year contest to serve as official support boats for the judges and editors as they evaluate the 2006 candidates. “The Boat of the Year contest evaluates some of the best new boats available to sailors”, remarked Matthew Velluto, RIBCRAFT’s Director of Marketing. He continued, “We are delighted to be working with Sailing World and Cruising World for a third year on this well respected, well orchestrated event”.

The 21’ and 25’ RIBCRAFTs supplied for the event are ideally suited for such a project because of their stability, ease of handling, and durability. With the need to approach the nominated boats while underway for loading and offloading judges, the RIBs’ inflatable tube is essential for protecting the candidates’ topsides from damage that could result from traditional hard sided boats.
